Working out with Fitness DVD's - is
it for you?
Exercise, fitness, a healthy diet and a
positive attitude will assure you a
happier and healthier quality of life.
But with our busy lives it is hard to find
the time to devote to taking care of
ourselves. Many people don't want to
join a health club and be committed to
a monthly or yearly charge on their
credit cards. Working out at home at
your own convenience is a good
solution.  However some people prefer
a group class with an
instructor to stay
motivated. Taking a class with other
people may give you the motivation
you need to stay committed to a
workout. Zumba is especially fun with a
group of people!  The more people in
the Zumba class, the higher the
energy.  But you can't always get to a
group class so a combination of going
to class and then working out at home
with the
Zumba DVD's is a good
solution.  A schedule of 3 workouts a
week would be a good plan to maintain
optimum fitness and health.

How do you find the right Exercise
DVD?
The best way to find a good DVD is to
read the reviews. Amazon has good
reviews of each product. Also, if you
are choosing a dance-fitness DVD,
look for a style of music or dance that
you relate to.  Some popular DVD's
use salsa, belly dance, zumba, hip
hop, jazz, bollywood, and African styles
of dance. If you can, buy a variety of
DVD's to keep you interested. You can
buy 5 or 6 different DVD's for much
less than a health club membership!

Another way to stay motivated to
exercise is to have a regular
fitness group at your home!
Do you have a space where you can
invite your friends to exercise?
Schedule a regular time and play a
different DVD each time. This is the
best of both worlds - you have a group
class but without the health club
membership!

I hope this gives you some ideas and
information on how to incorporate
exercise and fitness into your busy
lifestyle!  Remember that your body,
mind and spirit are the most important
things - so take care of them!

Sue
